What I am trying to say is not, he is a Messi but he is the type of player we are desperately crying out for. If you remember he had a very good season in the PL with a poor Cardiff side, scoring some long range goals.

That was in season 2016-17 when we finished on 41 pts. Our points tally in the PL since our last promotion : 2018-19 49 pts Edited by Willo (20 Jul 2020 8.43am)

This screams SP monitoring the Dyche situation at Burnley to me. But without finding investment or a sustainable way to raise funds it will be a struggle to entice any proven manager to us.

| Why would Dyche think that Palace would be a step up in his career?

The "Proven manager" is Roy Hodgson, who has been offered and agreed to a new contract and will be in situ next season. Edited by Willo (20 Jul 2020 9.35am)

Well your comment was around '' mavericks just needing the ball '' inferred that they should be treated differently. Why did Cabaye leave ? - Needed a huge cash injection to fund his divorce I think you will find. Training under Roy is boring and rigid, I think that's generally accepted. But it gets results which for the players is reflected in their wage packets.
