| as a quote from Sunday Express after the Villa " goal " was disallowed? What happened if anything?
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. | |

| Villa fans at the front tried to break through the barrier, especially after the final whistle. Someone on the radio called in to say the stewarding almost caused a riot, which I doubt at Selhurst, in the away end. Villa have form for away fans in numbers doing this. Otherwise they’re sunbed, midlands versions of TOWIE.

| Showed footage of the fracas on NBC Sports this afternoon. Some folks must have really peed off a particular police officer with a truncheon. He was whacking indiscriminately, totally lost it. It was shocking to see. That individual should be investigated for totally unexceptable behaviour, enroll in anger management and find another line of work.

| There were a few idiots rushing the front of the away section and were throwing punches at the stewards who stopped them going on the pitch at the final whistle. Their own fans tried to restrain them but it all got out of hand. The police were called in and must have used their batons to wallop the hotheads. Otherwise, the streets were peaceful as the Villa fans left the ground.

Well if I was on the panel judging him, I would completely exonerate him.

Unlike in the US where the police would have politely asked those trying to invade the playing area if they wouldn't mind awfully calming down and resuming their seats until a peaceful solution could be achieved

That individual was an American policeman on an exchange visit. Unfortunately he was colour blind and thought that the spectators were black so he treated them as he would back home

Unfortunately he was colour blind and thought that the spectators were black so he treated them as he would back home I'm sure the irony of someone in the US actually complaining about the behaviour of the police in the UK isn't lost on anyone. That corner of the ground is just yards from the Family Stand so decisive action was more than justified. If those idiots had got onto the pitch it wouldn't have been so that they could enter into a reasoned discussion with the referee about his decision.
