We probably all know that that this is first time since 19th Century that a top-flight team lost first 7 games and did not relegated but I am sure there are lots of other odd stats for this season Just working through some of my data today a) First time in 38 game EPL season that two relegated clubs have only lost one of their last 5 games. And both defeats were to Palace b) Our last 3 home games have produced 10 goals. Best previous PL run was 7 back in 1992/93 c) In our first 17 games we were only ahead for 71 minutes (and 53 of those were in the Chelsea game). That's an all-time record for the Premier League at that stage of the season Any other titbits?

Only team in PL apart from Man City not to lose at least once in last five. Four wins and a draw, same as them. Only team in PL to win all of the last three matches.

Only team to go for two seasons in all competitions, without having a player sent off. Which is remarkable considering we have Cabaye and Luka playing for us Edited by boo909 (14 May 2018 10.11pm)
Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Scored 2 or more goals at home in 11 league games. Beats our PL record of 7, in 2004/5, and also more than Spurs(9) or Chelsea(

After the start to the season when we lost at home to Huddersfield, Swansea and Southampton without scoring, after Roy came in we didn't lose to ANYONE other than the Top 6 and Everton away. Extraordinary achievement.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Every season we have been in the EPL we have won the last game when played at home.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |
