Anyone else do what I did yesterday when Pardew took off Kelly for Fryers? I shrugged my shoulders, uttered "FFS what a stupid substitution" and expected the worst. 1 minute later it was..... "OMG he's skinned their full back... what a cross.... GOAL!!!!!!!!!!" Also thought Pardew made another cock up bringing on Chungy so late but had to eat my words again as his delightfully floated free-kick was nodded home powerfully by Benteke for the late late winner! I love it when I get it wrong and AP gets it right!

OMG...just thinking exactly the same thing! Jinx! Could this be the time for ZF to become a hero? To be honest, he ain't ever going to get a better chance...so hope he grabs it!

Fryers could be a ready made replacement for Souare and save pards spashing out a hefty sum on another left back in Jan just watched the highlights,you won't see a fullback put in a much better cross for Macca's goal. more crosses like that will see Benteke in double figures in next to no time.

To be fair to the lad he deserves a shot at a starting place. He seems to have sorted out any issues he seems to of had for the last few years and hopefully will start showing the ability that Man Utd and Spurs saw in him. I remember watching him in a league cup game against Newcastle at home and he was awful... Let's see if he's finally turned things round.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
